Cavendish Farms Potato Storage in Pooles Corner, PE is looking for Seasonal Laborers for a period of 3-4 weeks. Expected start date is at the end of September. The exact start date and period of work will be dependent on weather and business needs.

Work Schedule: Working for a farming operation, workers must be available to work up to 12 hours a day, weekdays and weekends.

Work location: 4504 Allies Mills Rd, Pooles Corner, PE.

Wages: $19.77 per hour

 

Responsibilities

•    Inspect potatoes on a conveyor belt or grading line, removing substandard products, dirt, and foreign objects like rocks.
•    Effectively communicate with coworkers and management to ensure safety and the ability to plan work around harvest operations.
•    Contribute to the team’s goals and provide feedback on how to better operations.
•    Flexible schedule (able to work 12 hours per day, weekends if needed) to accommodate harvest weather windows.
•    All other duties as assigned.
 

Qualifications

•    Safety and Quality focused.
•    Physically fit to stand for extended period of time.
•    High level of attention to detail.
•    Ability to work in close proximity to moving harvest equipment.
•    Farm experience is an asset.
•    Able to lift 50lbs regularly.
•    Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
•    Availability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends. The schedule can be up to 14 hours per day, working Saturdays and Sundays.
