Position: Dual Rate Cashier / Beverage Cart Attendant
Department: Sewailo Golf Course
Job Summary: Provides quality services to guests by preparing and serving food/beverages in a prompt, efficient
and professional manner both on and off the golf course
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient and personalized manner.
- Prepares and serves food/beverage items from menu.
- Maintains organized and clean work area.
- Controls inventory through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food/beverage products.
- Receives deliveries of food products from vendors and dock ensuring proper storage and labeling of all.
- Places orders for food products in anticipation of daily and weekly need.
- Stocks and inventories products.
- Responds to customer questions regarding general information on facility.
- Supplies support to food servers and beverage cart attendants to ensure excellent service to members and guests.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable liquor laws, sanitation protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Communicates guest concerns to management staff and/or Outside Services Supervisor.
- Reviews schedule on a daily basis for calendar of events and facility activities; adjusts schedules accordingly.
- Utilizes point-of-sale systems.
- Incorporates safe working practices into performance of job both on and off the golf course.
- Confirms beverage cart is fully operational before starting rounds on the course.
- Stocks and cleans beverage cart throughout the day.
- Maintains and exhibits knowledge of proper golf course etiquette.
- Serves food and beverage items to guests while on the course.
- Accountable for all checks and cash transactions.
- Utilizes Point-of-Sale system and creates daily sales reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of preparation of all menu items and consistent quality delivery of product.
- Knowledge of handling of all foodstuffs including labeling, storage and shelf lives.
- Knowledge of all sanitation standards and liquor laws.
- Skill in food and beverage preparation in efficient fashion with emphasis on quality and timeliness.
- Skill in driving/handling beverage cart in a safe and efficient manner.
- Knowledge of Point-of-Sales system and cash-handling procedures.
- Knowledge of golf course etiquette.
- Knowledge of standard operating procedures related to golf course operations.
- Knowledge of stocking principles related to beverage cart.
- Skill in working efficiently with beverage cart attendants, other kitchen staff and golf course personnel.
- Ability to provide superior guest services in a timely, efficient manner.
- Ability to accurately handle and count money as well as make change, as applicable.
- Ability to process calculations/costs of food and beverage items in a timely fashion.
- Ability to multi-task and coordinate services to a high volume of customers within a relatively short period of time.
- Ability to plan, anticipate and prepare food products based on daily volume of play.
- Ability to maintain the physical stamina required including an ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time as well as bend, stoop and twist.
- Ability to lift up to a least forty (40) pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general equivalency degree; three to six months of food preparation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Money handling experience and basic math skills.
- Computer proficiency with point-of-sale systems.
- Must be at least nineteen (19) years of age.
- Must complete Alcohol Awareness and Food Handler’s training within 90-days of hire.
- Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays and special events, as needed.
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
