Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Charter & MICE Sales to lead the global strategy, development, and execution of Aman at Sea’s charter and incentive programs. This senior leadership role will be at the forefront of building and growing relationships with global partners—including brokers, corporations, intermediaries, and private individuals—while delivering bespoke solutions that reflect Aman’s signature elegance, discretion, and service ethos.

Reporting to the SVP of Sales, Marketing & Reservations, you will collaborate closely with both shoreside and shipboard teams to secure high-value charter and group bookings, negotiate complex agreements, and ensure seamless execution of extraordinary travel experiences. This is an opportunity to shape a high-impact sales strategy within an ultra-luxury environment, driving revenue growth while elevating Aman’s presence in the charter and MICE segments worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global sales strategy for charters and incentives.

  • Set annual sales targets and KPIs, monitor performance, and collaborate with Revenue Management to optimise pricing and revenue.

  • Identify and pursue new charter and group opportunities across both B2B and B2C markets.

  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with corporate clients, incentive travel buyers, brokers, and meeting planners.

  • Lead contract negotiations and manage complex agreements for full-ship charters, partial charters, and group blocks.

  • Oversee the end-to-end client experience, from customisation and branding to onboard programming and post-event satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, hotel services, entertainment, marketing, and legal to ensure flawless delivery.

  • Represent Aman at Sea at key global trade shows, client meetings, and industry events.

  • Provide leadership in developing promotional materials and campaigns targeting charter and incentive clients.

  • Serve as the senior point of contact for VIP charter clients and major incentive accounts.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, tourism, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.

  • A minimum of seven to ten years’ experience in group sales, MICE, or charter sales, within luxury cruises required.

  • Proven track record of negotiating and closing large charter or group contracts.

  • Strong understanding of cruise operations, including the complexities of full-ship and partial-ship buyouts.

  • An exceptional communicator, negotiator, and presenter with strong leadership skills.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, global environment and are comfortable operating within a matrix organisation.

  • Experienced with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and familiar with international business practices.

  • Multilingual or have exposure to diverse global markets (preferred).

  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 30–40% of the time.
