Job Description  

General Purpose:  

Picks up meals from restaurants and transport to program site.  Sets up work area to properly serve program participants' lunch. 

Essential Functions:   

• Picks up and transport meals to the designated program location. 
• Portions and serves food to customers in a friendly, efficient manner following the outlined steps of service. 
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping and food safety procedures. 
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils. 
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment. 
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control. 
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor. 
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements. 
• Performs other duties as assigned. 
•  Activities are subject to change/added to meet business needs with management approval. 

Qualifications:  

• Previous food service experience preferred. 
• Food Handler Certificate preferred. 
• Strong work ethic 
• Ability to communicate with other team members and other departments with professionalism and respect. 
• Maintain a professional relationship with all team members, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers, and client representatives.  

Skills Required:  

• Ability to maintain food at proper temperature. 
• Ability to maintain sanitary conditions around food, including tables, serving utensils, plates and flat ware. 

Special Working Conditions:  

• Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds. 
• Ability to walk a half mile without stopping.
