We are currently seeking a Machinist (Manual & CNC) for 1st Shift at our Cincinnati, OH facility.

1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM OR MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

Primary Responsibilities

  • Interpret complicated tooling and part drawings.
  • Work with advanced shop mathematics including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Devise and make holding fixtures.
  • Shape and sharpen cutting tools.
  • Apply broad machining knowledge including material characteristics and finishing techniques.
  • Set up and operate machine tools to very close tolerances (.0002).
  • Operate Wire EDM, Automatic Grinders, CNC Mills & Lathes.
  • Understand experienced CNC language and GD&T proofing.
  • Plan and layout sequencing for machining and assembly of complex tooling.

Qualifications

  • Ability to document activities through reports and sketches.
  • High school or vocational school graduate with shop math coursework.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of current machining experience.
  • Knowledge of cutter geometry, feeds, speeds, heat treat characteristics, and metals.
  • Proficiency in surface plate inspection and precision hand tools.
  • Preferred experience with CAD software.

Requirements

  • Ability to solve technical tooling problems independently.
  • Above-average manual dexterity for component assembly and setups.
  • Work within tight spaces 75% of the time.
  • Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment 100% of the time.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Furnish own set of standard hand tools.
  • Lift, stoop, bend, walk, pull, and carry +/- 75 pounds 75% of the time.
  • Withstand continuous exposure to noise, dirt, and fumes within OSHA limits.
  • Follow safety rules and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Check and correct own work for errors.
