STATUS: Exempt
SALARY RANGE: $56,500 - $58,225

Feeding Tampa Bay serves ten counties in West Central Florida and is a leader in hunger relief across our region. Just last year, we served 85M meals to our neighbors through direct service and through our network of 400+ food pantry partners.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Engagement Manager is a key relationship-builder with the responsibility of creating, nurturing, and maintaining strong partnerships with employers. The primary goal of this role is to facilitate job placements for our program graduates. This individual will be a passionate advocate for our students and a trusted partner to our employer network, ensuring a seamless and successful hiring process for all parties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
- Employer Relationship Management
- Proactively identify and cultivate new relationships with employers across industries relevant to Feeding Tampa Bay’s workforce development programs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all employer partners, understanding their hiring needs and organizational culture.
- Maintain and grow a database of current and prospective employers.
- Regularly communicate with employers to share updates on student cohorts and gather feedback on graduate performance.
- Job Placement Facilitation
- Work closely with the Student Services manager to understand student and graduate skills, interests, and career goals.
- Effectively match qualified graduates with relevant job and apprenticeship opportunities.
- Organize and manage employer-facing events, such as career fairs, tours, and other engagement opportunities.
- Create a streamlined process for employers to recruit and interview workforce development program graduates.
- Program & Student Advocacy
- Articulate the value proposition of hiring our graduates, highlighting their unique skills and relevant training.
- Gather and share employer feedback to inform and improve training program curricula.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Feeding Tampa Bay within the business community.
- Administration & Reporting
- Track and report on key metrics, including job placements, employer engagement, and business partner participation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM system.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve placement goals and other goals in alignment with the company's strategic plan.
Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in business or job development, account management, corporate partnerships, or a similar client-facing role.
- Experience in human resources, career counseling, or recruiting is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in the non-profit, workforce development, or education sector is preferred.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships, as demonstrated by previous client retention or partnership growth.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong ability to work independently.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite.
- Proficiency in project management systems such as Asana is a plus.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
