Responsibilities
- Provide desktop and mobile computing support, train users, and diagnose problems
- Assist in managing firewall and security software/hardware
- Administer all IT equipment – desktop computing, Windows servers, printers, office telephone systems, cellular phones, video conferencing, switches, routers, and other general networking equipment to ensure 24/7 access
- Apply software patches/upgrades and respond to user requests as needed
- Perform proactive maintenance on all computing equipment
- Be available for on-call on a weekly rotation (once every 3 weeks)
- Adhere to agency policy and procedures
- Act as a role model within and outside the agency
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude
- Communicate regularly with supervisor about department issues
- Demonstrate flexible/efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
- Consistently report to work on time, prepared to perform duties of position
- Ensure safe work practices
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Computer Networking or related field
- A+ or Microsoft MCSA certification preferred
- Two years of general computer hardware experience
- Two years of networking experience including experience with remote connectivity software such as RDP, Citrix, and VPN preferred
- Experience with Windows Server, Exchange, Windows 7/10 OS
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, administration, creation of user accounts, and email
- Experience with VMware or other virtualization technology
- Experience with .Net, ASP and other programming a plus, but not required
- Acceptable Background Character Verification
Wage Range $18-$22/hr. based upon experience and/or education
