Who we’re looking for
Toyota is looking for team members who are passionate about technology and interested in joining a collaborative and highly motivated team as Manager - Infrastructure Architecture.
The primary responsibility of this role is to automate and manage the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and services within TMNA, including configure, install, maintain, upgrade, and problem solve the M365 products. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Infrastructure Architecture, the person in this role will join the End User Experience & On Prem Infrastructure team to empower users with seamless technology and robust on-prem infrastructure for enhanced productivity and collaboration.
What you’ll be doing
Strategic Leadership & Business Partnering:
Act as a key partner to leadership, providing in-depth insights into third-party productivity & collaboration software/hardware.
Challenge existing practices and collaborate on innovative strategies to enhance user experience and drive profitability.
Ensure product delivery with a focus on quality, durability, reliability, agility, and scalability.
Translate business needs into actionable roadmaps for M365, Messaging, and Copilot adoption, ensuring measurable outcomes and value realization.
Architectural & Technical Strategy:
Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of reliable, scalable, and secure productivity and collaboration environments, including M365, Google GWS, and Lucid. Ensures seamless integration between M365 services, Proofpoint, cloud messaging platforms, and other security tools, optimizing for rapid, reliable deployments in cloud-native environments.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams on large-scale, enterprise-wide projects, embedding best practices in email security, spam prevention, Business Email Compromise (BEC) threat detection, and fraud elimination into the system architecture from the outset.
Leads initiatives to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency from design through deployment, anticipating potential operational issues in complex mail routing, spam filtering, and BEC threat elimination, and mitigating them proactively.
Leads governance for operational frameworks, ensuring compliance with security and reliability standards, and enhancing automation efforts in email and collaboration platforms, including spam filtering and BEC threat detection mechanisms.
Problem Solving & Methodology:
Anticipate and problem solve with root cause analysis for complex challenges in M365, email routing, spam filtering, BEC threat elimination, and security, requiring a balance of strategic vision and tactical execution, while influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
Innovates and refines operational methodologies to ensure high system availability, security, and performance across the organization's email and collaboration services, with a strong focus on spam and BEC threat mitigation.
Provide technical expertise and analytical guidance to team members, assisting them in resolving complex issues effectively.
Promote a culture of kaizen by embedding continuous feedback loops into productivity and collaboration tool adoption and usage.
Leadership & Development:
Provide functional expertise, project management, and team leadership in the implementation of mid-size to large projects, programs, or processes improvement.
Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence and support team member growth through regular coaching, development planning, and On-the-Job Development (OJD).
Actively participates in training and development programs to upskill the broader IT and operations teams on email security, spam and BEC threat detection, and fraud prevention principles and practices.
What you bring
Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in managing enterprise M365 systems and security; advanced degree preferred.
Industry Expertise: Proven experience managing and improving reliability and security in large-scale, productivity and collaboration systems, including operational incident management and spam/BEC threat mitigation. Extensive experience with the M365 platform, Exchange, Teams, cloud messaging, and internet connectivity.
Project Leadership: Proven experience managing and improving efficiency in system deployment and asset management on a large scale in a multi-platform environment. Experience leading enterprise-wide deployment or governance of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or OneDrive.
Communication Excellence: Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence and drive cultural shifts towards automation and efficiency.
Added bonus if you have
Email Security and Proofpoint: Expertise in email security tools such as Proofpoint for advanced spam filtering, BEC mail message filtering and elimination, malware detection, phishing prevention, and fraud detection.
Demonstrated success implementing Copilot or other AI-powered productivity tools in a corporate environment.
Automation and Scripting: Proficient in automation and scripting languages like PowerShell to enhance operational efficiency and automate spam/BEC threat detection processes.
