Supervisor of Residency/Truancy Officers presso Irvington Public Schools

• High School Gradute
• Five years of successfull related experience
• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English
• Must be able to use computers for word processing, data manangement, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications.

• Supervise Residency/Attendance Officers in their job performance
• Report all non-residents to school principal
• Prepare, and send, notifications and bills to identified illegal residents for tuition reimbursement
• Develop/review, implement and monitor the notification process which alerts other districts of student transfers out of this district when there is non-compliance with applicable law
• Observe, monitor and evaluate residency/truancy staff.
• Confer with principals of each school regarding attendance matters
• Appear in Municipal Court on behalf of the district, as required. 8. Maintain record of student absences
• Communicate with Principals/Guidance Counselors regarding student absences
• Make home visitations during evening hours
• Contact parents/guardians regarding student absenteeism. 
• Prepare monthly reports for administration 
• Represent the Board of Education before Municipal Court and Essex County Juvenile Court, when necessary. 
• Attend all Board of Education meetings
• Prepare all state required reports
• All other related duties, as required.
