Description
Fortney Hospitality Group is a growing beverage and foodservice company with 21 locations across eight states…and growing. We’re looking for a uniquely skilled creative AND quantitatively-inclined Director of Marketing to join our team. This pivotal player/coach role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company’s brand strategy and execution, reporting to company leadership. This is a salaried, full-time, IN-OFFICE position. We are not entertaining any other options.
We are a headquartered in beautiful, downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin, an eclectic family-friendly city which oversees the Mississippi River that borders Minnesota.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and advertising strategies, from concept through completion, that align with business objectives. Present and support those strategies with company leadership to gain consensus.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of in-house marketing/graphic designers to ensure high creative executions achieve their intended marketing objective and timelines are met.
- Interpret sales and financial reports generated by finance team.
- Collaborate with other department leaders and team members to support and be supported in an all-hands, teamwork environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills required.
2. Creative Development:
- Leading with a hands-on mentality, you’ll oversee but also pitch in on the development of various creative assets such as food and beverage menus, digital, point of sale, various merchandising, social media and more. Copywriting, art direction, food photography (working with our internal photographer) and guiding the production process with printers.
- Building the overall brand and reputation of the company.
3. Strategic & Project Management:
- Manage the national annual marketing calendar of monthly beverage and food campaigns and its necessary executions. Engineer strategic layers underneath that calendar to further support sales like.
- Oversee the marketing department’s print/media planning and buying.
- Determine local store marketing initiatives that support various individual store objectives.
- Working with inventory and finance team, analyze and report on project performance and adapt strategies to improve outcomes.
- Work with national beverage partner contacts in developing co-operative sales building programs.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
Five or more years of marketing and creative experience with at least 2 years in a team leadership role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and design software (Adobe Creative Suite). Complete understanding of all social media and digital platforms (and their ad managers), Meta, Tik Tok, Google, etc.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree
