Department: Facilities Maintenance, School Facility Management LLC
Reports To: On-Site Facility Manager
Location: Church in the Belle Meade area
Employment Type: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Compensation: $18 per hour
Working Schedule:
- Full-time: 24 hours per week (below are samples of hours to start - these may vary based on needs and prior discussion)
- - Fridays: 7:30 am till 4:00 pm
- - Saturdays: 7:30 am till 4:00 pm
- - Sundays: 6:00 am till 2:30 pm
- (opportunity to work more hours)
Job Summary:
As a Weekend Sexton, your duties will encompass various aspects of supporting a bustling church environment. These tasks include:
Key Responsibilities
- Help set up and take down equipment and materials for church services and events
- Support presentations when trained, and assist with light cleaning
- Set up and take down tables and chairs for weekend events
- Monitor events and help with cleanup, including setting up coffee and water stations
- Assist with setting up projectors and microphones when needed
- Do light cleaning and disinfecting in main areas, restock restrooms, and check parking lot cleanliness
- Handle small maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs and filters
- Greet and assist church members, visitors, and staff politely
- Complete work orders and log hours in the online system
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Able to work on weekends
- Willing to learn how to use audio/visual equipment for presentations
- Can speak and write clearly in English
- Able to lift and push up to 75 lbs regularly
- Physically fit for tasks like lifting, walking, and bending
- Basic computer skills
- Can pass a background check and E-Verify
- Has a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
