- Work with senior leadership to build advertising schedules and campaign timelines aligned with business priorities
- Provide direction, budgets, and creative assets to third-party partners for execution of digital advertising across Meta, Google, and display platforms
- Work with senior leadership to review campaign performance and compile key analytics to present insights and recommendations to senior leadership
- Research and evaluate potential print, digital, and promotional opportunities; present vetted options to senior leadership for consideration
- Work with senior leadership to:
- Present monthly analytics, learnings, and recommendations to senior leadership & venue operations teams covering, but not limited to, customer review sites, email marketing, venue promotions or special events, social media, etc.
- Use data to drive marketing decisions, update campaigns, measure success of efforts, etc.
- Analyze target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing strategies
- Analyze sales data to identify opportunities to drive revenue and to measure the impact of marketing efforts
- Ensure consistent application of brand voice, visual identity, and quality standards across all touchpoints
- Support marketing efforts for new venue openings or rebrands with a strong attention to detail
- Coordinate photo and video shoots including planning, talent coordination, and on-site support
- Collaborate with venue teams and photographers to capture on-brand content
- Ensure final content is organized and distributed for use across marketing platforms
- Write and edit marketing copy across all channels: email, website, social, print, and advertising
- Maintain a consistent tone of voice and brand integrity across multiple concepts
- Monitor and respond to online reviews (Yelp, Google, OpenTable)
- Maintain accuracy across online directories and delivery platforms
- Manage delivery platforms, including updating content, running advertising campaigns, and reporting on platform analytics and performance trends
- Build and deploy email campaigns via HubSpot or similar platforms
- Manage list segmentation and campaign performance analysis
- Support guest acquisition strategies via pop-ups, lead forms, and in-venue promotions
- Undertake continuous analysis of market competition
- Stay up to date on new technology, trends, and best practices
- Support the development and execution of integrated marketing plans & budgets across digital, social, email, and print
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop campaign strategies that drive guest traffic, brand awareness, and revenue
- Support promotional campaign ideation in partnership with venue teams and ensure proper handoff to operations for execution
- Foster a culture of exploration & innovation within the marketing department to try new concepts, technologies, and trends that enhance overall marketing efforts
- Efficiently manage marketing projects & team with diligent follow up at the venue and department level
- Oversee and manage projects within Asana, ensuring tasks are on track and deadlines are met.
- Act as primary liaison between internal teams, venue contacts, and external partners (e.g., photographers, PR agencies, digital media vendors)
- Support the creation of promotions, events, and campaigns that drive incremental revenue and/or heavy brand awareness before handing off to the venue operations teams for execution
- Manage implementation & ongoing success of all marketing promotions
- Support the growth of the loyalty program to build traffic-driving marketing initiatives & guest retention
- Track promotion success & make recommendations for any promotional changes
- Manage third party agency relationship
- Lead Marketing Coordinators in PR initiatives
Reservation Platform
- Audit & optimize platform opportunities on a bi-weekly basis
- Select photos and copy to be featured on the platform
- Create & manage experiences, ticketed events, and upgrades through the system
- Support social strategy by reviewing content calendars, captions, and creative produced by the Marketing Coordinators
- Monitor engagement, trends, and opportunities for organic & paid growth
- Collaborate on influencer marketing initiatives & user-generated content strategies
- Work with digital agency partners to collaborate on social ad campaigns. Use data from agency partners to optimize photos & messaging across social platforms
- Ensure SEO best practices are followed and optimized across site content
- Coordinate with web developers and contractors on technical updates as needed
- Ensure ADA compliance remains up to date and follows current legislation standards
- Must be local to San Diego. Work will be performed at RMD Group Corporate Office & individual venues.
- Preferred bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
- Preferred 3-5 years of relevant marketing experience, ideally in the restaurant & hospitality space.
- Demonstrated success in team leadership and performance management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proofreading & copywriting experience.
- Understanding & experience in social media, content, print advertising, digital, grassroot marketing, influencer, email, event, and promotional marketing verticals.
- Detail oriented. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work productively, both independently and collaboratively with others.
- Working knowledge of project management and productivity tools, including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) and Asana.
- Preferred knowledge and experience in digital advertising & CRM tools including Google, Meta, Yelp, OpenTable, and HubSpot.
- Basic working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & InDesign preferred.
- Team player with a positive, proactive, and flexible mindset.
- Must be able to travel frequently between venues within San Diego County; occasional evening and weekend availability required to support restaurant operations. Work is performed in both office settings and onsite in active hospitality environments.
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds safely and properly.
- Must be able to bend, stoop and climb.
