Position Summary:

The HR Generalist supports core human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and employee relations. This role is hands-on, collaborative, and essential in driving a positive employee experience while ensuring adherence to policies and labor laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily HR support to employees and managers across departments
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and new hire orientations
  • Support benefit enrollments and respond to employee inquiries
  • Maintain accurate and compliant HR records and documentation
  • Assist with FMLA, ADA, I-9, and training compliance tracking
  • Help manage performance issues, investigations, and employee relations
  • Process HRIS updates and assist with payroll/timekeeping accuracy
  • Contribute to HR projects, audits, and employee engagement efforts

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of HR experience; 1–2 years in employee relations preferred
  • Familiarity with California labor laws and HR best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism
  • Experience with ADP WorkforceNow a plus 
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; PHR or SHRM-CP a plus

 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource or related field or equivalent certification/experience
  • Minimum three years’ experience in Human Resources as a Generalist. Solid experience in employee relations
  • Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills
