Department: Manufacturing

Reports To: Director of Operations - EPACS

Job Summary:

The Process Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process improvement, lean manufacturing, and problem-solving within a fast-paced production environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, and improve manufacturing processes to achieve greater efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Investigate and resolve process-related issues, reducing downtime and waste.
  • Work with equipment and maintenance teams to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to maintain product quality and ensure adherence to ISO standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and implement strategies to reduce production costs while maintaining product quality and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor and analyze production metrics to drive improvements and create actionable insights.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including R&D, maintenance, and production, to support new product introductions and process changes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions, process maps, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide technical training and support to production staff on new processes, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications (Must Have):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing engineering (industry-specific experience preferred).
  • Must be a US Citizen

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including automation and robotics.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and quality standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA).
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP).
  • OSHA or safety-related certifications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
