PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bookkeeping of all school activity accounts; purchasing for school/teachers; correspondence for principal/school; record keeping/reporting for school.

PAY GRADE: 231 - Grade 5 - Salary Range: $30,220.00 to $48,293.00. Salary placement will be based on the Douglas County Board of Education-approved salary schedules and years of verified experience.

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 231 Days (12 Months)

REPORTS TO: Principal

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: High School Graduate

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years of experience in secretarial and general office work.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: None

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities: Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; sedentary work involves sitting most of the time; jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

PROFICIENT SKILLS: Computer and bookkeeping/record keeping skills; general knowledge of all office equipment; maintain confidentiality; ability to perform job under pressure; capable of following written and oral instructions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
Maintains all bank accounts for school activity accounts.
Maintains all record-keeping for school accounts.
Enters and maintains all purchasing for the school/teachers.
Enters all maintenance requests for the school building.
Processes all leave forms for the school.
Produces correspondence for the principal/school.
Develops and distributes school newsletters.
Processes school records for records center storage.
Maintains key inventory.
Maintains all building inventory.
Serves as backup to the receptionist.
Maintains the school calendar.
Receives and distributes all faxes for the school.
Processes and maintains all Vocational/Care/Technical Education paperwork.
Assists the attendance clerk when needed.
Enters all maintenance requests for the school building.
Orders all custodial supplies.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal and Assistant Principal.
