General Manager

Graphite Restaurant – Columbia, IL

Graphite Restaurant is a locally owned casual fine dining restaurant known for elevated cuisine, craft cocktails, and warm hospitality. We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a high-performing team, and ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

• Recruit, train, and develop staff while fostering a positive and professional work environment.

• Drive sales, control costs, and manage budgets to achieve financial goals.

• Monitor guest satisfaction and ensure service standards are consistently met.

• Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and health & safety standards.

• Collaborate with ownership on marketing initiatives, events, and long-term strategy.

• Provide hands-on leadership by being visible and engaged on the restaurant floor.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of management experience in a full-service or fine dining restaurant.

• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.

• Proven ability to manage labor and operating costs effectively.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

• A passion for hospitality and commitment to exceptional guest service.

• Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
