Hybrid SR PLANT SERVICES TECHNICIAN--1st Shift presso ALLIED MOULDED PRODUCTS GROUP

Description

Purpose:  To install, modify, and troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic circuits on machines and systems to improve performance & safety in all Allied facilities.  Build constructive relationships by taking the initiative to make things better.

Essential functions

1. Assemble and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, & pneumatic components using prints, sketches, or verbal instructions. 
2. Provide technical support to the Maintenance and Project Lead group.
3. Provide recommendations on whether work should be done with Allied personnel or require an outside contractor.  Serve as the primary contact for outside electrical contractors.
4. Analyze a project, recommend, and order components required.
5. Under general direction, monitor the electrical usage issue reports, makes suggestions on problems and ways to reduce Allied’s power cost in all Allied facilities.
6. Read & use CAD system to develop electrical and pneumatic schematics. 
7. Read, write, and analyze machine programs.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

MENTAL / VISUAL REQUIREMENT:

Part-time normal and part-time concentrated attention and coordination required using tools. Ability to communicate with other employees & supervisors. Ability to read and understand machine manuals and diagrams to determine proper set up. Ability to work with limited supervision.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED, and three years’ experience as electrician; or a two year degree in related field of study.  Experience required in electrical and pneumatic schematics.

MENTAL / VISUAL REQUIREMENT:

Concentrated diligence in performing facility utility related tasks. Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy. Initiative-taking with ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to work without close supervision. Good general ability with use of computer touch screens and written documents. Basic math skills, ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
