ABOUT THIS HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC - MAINTENANCE TECH JOB

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. No weekends. No late nights.

As our Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Maintenance Tech, you'll start your day from home, heading directly to job sites or vendor locations. You'll diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, perform repairs, and coordinate specialized fixes with vendors. You'll also manage service records, track parts, and ensure preventative maintenance is scheduled to reduce downtime. By collaborating with our operations team, you'll prioritize repairs based on project needs, playing a key role in keeping our crews and projects on track.

Would you excel in this position? Here's what you need:

• Valid driver's license
• 5+ years of experience as a heavy equipment or fleet mechanic
• Experience managing repair schedules, paperwork, and vendor relations
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to travel for repairs and equipment inspections
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred qualifications include a CDL, welding and fabrication experience, knowledge of DOT compliance, and familiarity with construction equipment.
