Receptionist 


Job Summary: 

The Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization. 


Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Receives the public and answers questions, and refers, when necessary, to the appropriate person or department. 

  • Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person's visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location. 

  • Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff and/or takes messages. 

  • Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items. 

  • Duplicates and distributes materials. 

  • Performs administrative and clerical support tasks. 

  • Performs basic filing and recordkeeping. 

  • Completes administrative tasks requested by corporate office managers. 

  • Prepares and scans new move in leases and packets. 

  • Closes maintenance work order. 

  • Special projects as needed. 


Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Excellent verbal communication skills. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. 

  • Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems. 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 

  • Strong computer skills and ability to manage multiple systems or programs. 

  • Strong organizational skills. 

  • Heightened attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting. 

  • Ability to meet established deadlines. 


Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 

  • 1 year work experience as a receptionist or in customer service.
