Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Inventory Control Specialist will be all assigned tasks relating to inventory control, including maintaining inventory counts, accurate reporting of inventory internally and externally, and communicating inventory needs and status to the Inventory Control team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Maintains inventory cycle count and physical inventory programs for all finished goods, ingredients, packaging, and supplies.
- Counts and reconciles randomly chosen or chosen part numbers and/or locations daily.
- Responsible for moving, correcting, and organizing inventory utilizing a forklift.
- Participates in production verification, pre-run cycle counts, and end-of-run cycle counts, and ensures that these procedures are completed in a timely manner to meet deadlines set internally and with customers.
- Assists in developing solutions to shortages, overages, and inventory discrepancies.
- Participates in internal and external/customer audits, as well as audit-prep.
- Assists in compiling data related to special projects, as requested by supervisor.
- Quality Assurance of all products.
- Ensures compliance with inventory processes and procedures, and contractual obligations.
- Data Entry/Portal Entry
- Tracking and posting KPIs as they relate to inventory practices and procedures.
- Work cross-departmentally to troubleshoot issues with inventory variances, deficiencies, and other issues.
- Helps coordinate month-end physical inventories and any additional reporting required by customers.
- Analyzing inventory data to identify trends and make recommendations for inventory & process optimization.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Position Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; and identify root causes for discrepancies.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; 1 year certificate from a college or technical school preferred; two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Forklift experience preferred; on-the-job certification required

Forklift experience preferred; on-the-job certification required

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Color vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is regularly required to walk, climb or balance, reach with hands or arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
