The Technical Sales Officer role involves managing inbound sales for both new and existing customers. Although the technical aspects are taught in-house and require no prior experience, the role demands a strong desire to learn and meticulous attention to detail. It combines comprehensive product knowledge, in-depth sector understanding, awareness of industry regulations, and adept problem-solving skills.
What that means day to day
- Gather business process information from clients
- Collaborate with clients to determine the best-fit approach
- Utilise internal systems and industry guidelines to establish audit durations
- Manage a project pipeline
- Prepare proposals
What you’ll need to be successful
- Telephone-based sales experience
- Demonstrable experience of building strong working relationships at all levels.
- Confident in CRM systems for analysis and reporting
- Ability to present in a clear and concise manner and in a professional capacity
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Wide industry and B2B background
- Knowledge of certification or TIC industry
- Ability to complete tenders, Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and supplier proposals
