Founded in 1990, LGH stands at the forefront of the hoisting and rigging equipment rental industry, providing rental equipment responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of everything from the bridges you drive on to the sports stadiums you visit.


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Lift Planner to join our team. The Lift Planner will be responsible for preparing CAD drawings, maintaining the internal CAD library database, and providing sales support, including attending customer planning meetings.


Key Responsibilities:

  • CAD Drawing Preparation: 
    • Create detailed lift plans and reference drawings using CAD software to ensure safe and efficient lifting operations for customer needs
    • Generate lift plans based on available LGH inventory across the country to ensure feasibility, safety, and compliance
  • Sales and Customer Interaction: 
    • Engage customers at the front end of lift plan requests to understand full scope of project 
    • Attend customer planning meetings to understand their requirements and provide tailored lift planning solutions. 
    • Work with the customer and sales team when quoting large lifting plan projects
    • Use current quote funnel to identify potential opportunities to provide value added lift plans to close large projects 
  • CAD Block Database Creation and Maintenance: 
    • Create and maintain the internal CAD library database to ensure all drawings and plans are current and accessible
    • Potential to offer this database commercially to provide these CAD blocks to customers throughout North America as another       value-added service
  • Operations Support: 
    • Collaborate with the Operations team across North America to design and provide technical drawings of equipment used within our facilities (storage racks and containers and other proprietary equipment). 
  • Training: Help with internal training content regarding our CAD program as well as train LGH Sales personnel on how to properly diagnose and develop lift plans for customer projects
  • Compliance: Ensure all lift plans comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all lift plans and related activities.

Hours:

Full Time; 40 hours; Monday - Friday

Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in lift planning, crane operations, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD), and strong understanding of crane and rigging      operations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively      with customers and team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
