Position Description
Reporting to the Director, IQI, the Quality Management Specialist, IQI is responsible for research and development of tools to: consolidate and curate knowledge that continuously informs AAAHC Standards development and compliance, survey and Surveyor processes, and AAAHC learning offerings. This role analyzes and reports accreditation performance results to identify client improvement opportunities, manages the benchmarking study report generation against national clinical practice guidelines and relevant evidence-based healthcare literature, and provides easily implementable and practitioner-focused tools that increase patient and employee safety and facilitate organizational compliance with AAAHC Standards. This role is integral to advancing our organizational mission and realizing our strategic theme to “measurably drive quality improvement in patient care.”

Minimum Qualifications and Job-specific Competencies Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Education, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy or related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum two years work experience including internships, part-time positions, or relevant volunteer work
- Analytic thinker with demonstrated skills in data cleaning and analyses, and research literature review and synthesis
- Highly organized with strong project management skills; demonstrated time management and multi-tasking skills
- Strong analytical skills and experience manipulating large, complex datasets; proven technical acumen in planning and problem-solving and intense attention to detail
- Strong reasoning, analysis, critical thinking, and language abilities (reading, technical writing, and speaking), with effective communication, technical writing and editing, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams), online survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Verint), and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for querying and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in related field (e.g., Business Administration, Data Analytics, Education, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy) or equivalent work experience
- Experience in quality improvement and performance measurement methodology and implementation, survey and other study design and administration
- Experience in health care industry
- Experience facilitating consensus-seeking processes in a multi-stakeholder setting, specifically with facilitating virtual consensus-seeking and content-creation processes
- Experience with SPSS, SAS, R, Python (or other statistical analysis and data mining packages)
Working Conditions & Travel Expectations
- Occasional evening conference calls not to exceed 3 calls/month
- Travel: <10% including weekend meetings (e.g., association, client, and committee meetings); 2 meetings/quarter
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
