Two years’ experience working in human resources

Manage the onboarding process for certified, licensed professional, ancillary and administrative staff, including the preparation of initial salary placements, certification and IVP obtainment as required by the position.
Maintain and update job descriptions for all staff.
Coordinate with the Executive Director of Business Services on issues of benefits management and payroll administration.
Participate in the negotiations process as assigned, conduct market research for negotiations, and help support development of salary schedules for the district.
Provides direct support to staff regarding the Arizona Department of Education on the certification and recertification process. Also ensuring compliance of staff with maintaining appropriate and valid certification while employed.
Provides direct support to staff regarding the Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card processes and ensures compliance of staff maintaining appropriate and valid clearance.
Support in the oversight and administration of district employment policies and procedures
Assist the Executive Director of Talent Management in implementing and monitoring personnel laws, reporting and maintaining the status and assignments of all certified and licensed professionals.
Work closely with principals and directors in determining personnel needs and filling vacancies with qualified applicants.
Support administrators in their hiring processes including answering questions; keeping interview, reference check, and paperwork materials up-to-date; and as a point of contact to check on the onboarding status of new hires.
Assist in planning and implementing orientations for new hires, including New Employee Orientation
Manages the annual reporting requirements including but not limited to Teacher Input Application (TIA), School District Employee Report (SDER), EEO-5 (Equal Employment Opportunity), and New Hire Reporting.
Assists with payroll-related tasks including updating employee maintenance and payroll information as required.
Supports the HRIS team with appropriate recording keeping, staff transfers and file maintenance as appropriate.
Advise student teachers regarding hiring procedures and regulations and develop and implement recruiting methods to gain their employment.
Manages and oversees the volunteer program for FUSD ensuring appropriate background proceedings are completed and adhered to.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Extract, manipulate, format, and display data in a mainframe computer system. Analyze information, reach conclusions, and present findings in a logical and informative manner.
Research, understand and apply complex statutes, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively in person, over the telephone, and in writing. Effectively handle multiple tasks under the pressure of inflexible deadlines.

Summary of Function
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Talent Management & Organizational Development, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for facilitating all personnel functions related to certified, licensed professionals, ancillary and administration including initial salary placement; recruitment & selection process, assignment and transfers; position control; annual and periodic review of certificated credentials; contract negotiations; and other areas of personnel management. It is of great importance that this position works together with Business Services, Operations, Teaching and Learning, and Student Service departments to ensure the quality staffing and learning environment requirements.Qualifications

The 2025-2026 salary range for the district’s coordinator position falls on the Ancillary Salary Schedule, grade JJ with a base salary range of $69,135 to $76,050, based on a twelve-month contract, consistent with Arizona law. A comprehensive fringe benefits package is also included.
