Description
As a valued member of our Food and Beverage dining outlets, you will be responsible for providing an elevated dining experience to our members and their guests in a variety of food service outlets, including our Mixed Grill, Tap Room, and Outdoor Dining Terrace.
Responsibilities
- Daily checklists will be completed to ensure all pre-shift and post-shift duties are complete and the operation is set and ready for service each day
- Support as necessary to stock service areas in preparation of service, not limited to ice, napkins, straws, and other accessories
- Follow prescribed pre-shift procedures, including the inspection of the expo area prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available
- Prepare condiments, ramekins, equipment in preparation of service.
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and with accuracy
- Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff
- Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies)
- Assist the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, utensils, and accompaniments
- Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature)
- Check in with customers and take additional orders, as needed
- Remove dirty dishes and utensils
- Inform restaurant staff about customer’s feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check)
- Maintain and clean the workspace area and equipment to keep a sanitary environment
- Attend trainings and staff meetings, including pre-shift (line-up) sessions as required
- Maintain knowledge of all food, menu items, garnishes, and preparation methods
- Satisfy member and guest requests in a timely manner
- Stock, sort, clean, and organize the kitchen area as requested
- Report any issues to a manager as soon as they occur
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified or any similar combination of education and experience
- Demonstrate a high caliber of professionalism and presentation, commensurate with the expectations of a private club setting
- Ability to demonstrate organization and coordination skills
- Ability to multi-task in a sporadic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
- Demonstrates strong oral communication skills to a wide variety of constituents.
- Team first attitude
- Proven record of providing excellent customer service

- Strong knowledge of overall kitchen & restaurant operations
- Excellent communication, organization, attention to detail, and time management
- Comfort working with private membership, serving the same individuals and their families multiple times per week
- Self-starter with the ability to identify a need before being asked, and natural problem-solving skills
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Physical Requirements
- Ability and stamina to carry heavy trays to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs; manual dexterity for food preparation & delivery.
- Must be able to handle hot and cold interior and exterior conditions and exposure to dust, fumes and gases
- Must be able to work in close proximity to moving machinery
- Independent mobility
