Position at Everyday Health - Division

Everyday Health Group, the Health & Wellness division of Ziff Davis, is looking for a Senior Manager, Human Resources Business Partner, to join the team. In this role, the Sr. Manager will provide full-cycle human resources support to our Consumer and Pregnancy and Parenting teams. The successful candidate will partner with teams on all activities from employee relations, performance management, organizational support, immigration and everything in between.

•        A Trusted Partner. You will forge strong relationships with employees at all levels and work to identify and develop key HR initiatives and processes with key stakeholders
•        Team Player. You have a truly hands-on approach and are willing to jump in and help out where needed while collaborating with the EH and HR global corporate team for all things HR.
•        An Analytical Thinker. Your step-by-step approach to thinking allows you to understand HR policies and implications.  You have the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively, demonstrating a passion for providing and implementing innovative solutions to complex problems.
What You’ll Do:
People PartnerPartner with business unit leaders to define and execute HR strategies that align with business objectives and key initiatives. Develop strategies to resolve HR issues and make a positive impact on business results.  Use key insights from engagement surveys, check-ins, and feedback loops to inform actions and drive continuous improvement.
People Operations: Own and optimize People Ops processes (onboarding, offboarding, employee data, compliance) for the business units you support. Partner with the recruitment team and hiring managers to drive full-cycle recruitment and seamless onboarding for each new hire.  Own immigration for Everyday Health Group, including working with outside counsel on immigration matters, visa and green card processes..
Performance & Talent Management: Lead performance & talent management for your business units to help us drive continuous, transparent feedback; guiding managers and employees on various performance management initiatives (reviews, goal setting, development plans) and employee relations matters (coaching, counseling, etc), advising and assisting in identifying issues and determining appropriate courses of action as well as working with employees to provide guidance on HR matters. 
M&A: Work with HR, leadership and business development teams performing due diligence for M&A targets as well as working to integrate target company employees. Help us to scale organically and through M&A while maintaining our performance-oriented culture.

What You’ll Bring:
  • 6+ years HR/HRBP/Generalist experience supporting a diverse client base
  • Self-starter, service-minded attitude and business partner approach
  • Experience working in a complex and rapidly changing work environment with significant acquisition activity
  • A high level of competency and commitment to HR best practices and a comprehensive understanding of federal/state labor and employment laws
  • Impeccable attention to the details
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Analytical acumen includes strong Excel skills and experience with HR systems and applications
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to influence and negotiate at all levels
  • Honesty and trustworthiness
  • A roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
  • Experience with post-M&A integrations a plus
  • Willingness to support our teams both in person the NYC office and outside of NYC
