Role Summary:
We are looking for a Director of Engineering to join our team and lead the development of our next-generation Platform — a unified foundation that powers all of Censys’ products. This platform will deliver a multi-client experience for enterprises and MSSPs, enabling seamless access across web, API, and future client interfaces. Your work will help create an ecosystem that integrates with key cybersecurity vendors, supports marketplaces and community collaboration portals, and scales to power the next decade of Internet intelligence.
Censys operates best-in-class Internet-wide scanning, bulk DNS resolution, and X.509 certificate ingestion. Your role will be to lead the teams responsible for not only the web application experiences and workflows, but also the platform services that underpin them such as Authentication, Entitlements, RBAC, Data Access, and Extensibility. AI will be at the heart of this vision, powering summaries, actionable intelligence, recommendations, and conversational workflows that make it easier than ever for customers to extract insights from our data.
We are looking for a hands-on leader who ensures the platform is architected for scalability and future extensibility, working closely with Product, UX, and Engineering to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions. You’ll help shape a platform that supports rapid development of future products, integrations, and AI-driven experiences for customers.
