General Maintenance Mechanic - Facilities - Full Time chez Ocean Casino Resort

About the Role

The General Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the preventative, routine and emergency service of the building’s electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.

Position Responsibilities

• Ensures that all work is completed and of superior craftsmanship
• Removes debris caused by work completed
• Maintains proper care and storage of tools and equipment
• Works closely with Lead to coordinate an efficient and safe work environment
• Performs other related general maintenance duties as assigned
• Maintains confidentiality of all Ocean Casino Resort Atlantic City proprietary information

Essential Functions

• High degrees of mobility to enable person to respond to any type of emergency situation of service call
• Ability to effectively communicate by way of 2-way radio or pager system
• Physical ability and skill to use normal tools and equipment associated with the trade
• Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts/hours
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds

Requirements

• Five (5) years’ experience in a primary trade plus knowledge of various trades
• Ability to effectively communicate in English
• Blueprint and schematic reading skills required
