Position Summary
Davis Machine is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Inspector to join our Quality team. The Receiving Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring all incoming materials, components, and hardware meet company and customer quality requirements before entering production. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to verify certifications and documentation to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming materials from suppliers.
- Receive and inspect parts returned from outside processing vendors.
- Receive hardware and components required for assembly operations.
- Review and verify certifications, documentation, and purchase order requirements to ensure accuracy and compliance before releasing material to the next operation.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damaged materials, or nonconforming products.
- Accurately document receiving inspections and maintain inspection records.
- Communicate with Purchasing, Quality, and Production regarding receiving issues when necessary.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe receiving inspection area.
- Follow company quality procedures, customer specifications, and safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities (As Needed)
- Assist with part marking using a Videojet marking system or metal/rubber stamps in accordance with customer specifications.
- Assist with preparing finished parts for shipment by wrapping, packaging, and moving products to the shipping area.
- Provide support to the Shipping and Quality departments during periods of increased workload.
Requirements
- Experience working in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of receiving inspection processes and quality documentation.
- Familiarity with customer certifications and traceability requirements.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to assist in other areas when needed.
