Position Summary:
The Finance Manager serves as a strategic partner to finance leadership by overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and operational reporting. This role drives data-informed decision-making, process optimization, and AI-enabled financial efficiencies across the organization.
Position Details:
- Location: Northbrook, IL
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday on-site.
- Compensation: $75,000 - $95,000
Key Responsibilities
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and expense management processes across the organization.
- Create and maintain financial dashboards, productivity metrics, profitability analyses, and executive reporting.
- Partner with department leaders to evaluate financial performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Lead financial process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, visibility, and accountability.
- Support vendor analysis, contract reviews, capital expenditure planning, and business case development.
- Manage cross-functional projects, system enhancements, and financial transformation initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic operational partner to leadership by providing actionable financial insights and recommendations.
AI & Automation Responsibilities
- Develop AI-assisted forecasting models to improve budget accuracy and financial planning.
- Automate recurring financial reporting, board reports, and departmental scorecards.
- Leverage AI tools to identify spending trends, anomalies, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement workflow automation for approvals, budget requests, vendor management, and financial data collection.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Minimum 5 years of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis experience.
- Experience developing financial models, dashboards, and executive-level reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience supporting operational leaders and managing cross-functional financial projects.
AI Requirement:
- Experience using AI tools to support IT troubleshooting, ticket routing, or documentation
- Ability to automate repetitive IT support processes
