Job Overview
Coursera’s Strategic Launch sub-team is building a durable capability to ingest, transform, and launch partner content at scale. This Specialist role supports content ingestion/import, transformations, and launch workflows by executing ingestion tasks, running UAT/QA, reconciling ingestion errors, and triaging defects. The role partners closely with Partner Enablement staff,Product & Engineering, the Services Org, and Teaching & Learning to ensure partner content meets Coursera specifications and launches reliably.
Responsibilities:
- Execute ingestion/import workflows (Common Cartridge, edX, SCORM, etc) and follow playbook SOPs for content structuring and transformation according to Coursera pedagogical standards
- Develop and run UAT/QA test cases against acceptance criteria, logging results, maintaining test artifacts, and documenting evidence of reproducibility
- Log, triage, and verify defects with reproducible steps, evidence, and impact; coordinate triage with Product & Engineering
- Reconcile ingestion errors and data mismatches, collaborate on investigation of pipeline failures, and escalate to Platform/Solutions Engineering as needed
- Support launch readiness and execution (pre-launch checks, testing where applicable) and coordinate launch-day validation with Coursera implementation staff and support teams
- Maintain SOPs and a test-case library; surface recurring failure modes and recommend process/tool improvements
- Track and report basic operational metrics (error rate, failure/success rates, time-to-reconcile, post-launch critical defects)
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of relevant experience (QA/UAT, content operations, technical support, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented SOPs and checklists
- Basic technical literacy: comfortable reading CSV/JSON/scripts, using web authoring tools, and understanding system flow/upstream vs downstream
- Experience writing/executing test cases and logging actionable bug reports (steps, environment, evidence)
- Clear written and verbal communication for cross-functional and partner-facing updates
- Able to work on well-scoped problems with general instruction and frequent check-ins for new assignments
Nice to haves:
- Familiarity with content authoring/import formats and tools (Common Cartridge, SCORM, tar.gz, etc)
- Exposure to SQL or simple scripting for data validation
- Experience supporting content development and testing
- Experience using CRM/issue-tracking systems (Salesforce, JIRA)
