Forklift Operator - Press Room chez Clow

Description

Clow is seeking a Forklift Operator to support production in the Press Room. In this role, you’ll be responsible for moving materials, parts, tools, and containers throughout the department to keep production running smoothly and efficiently.

This position plays a key role in daily operations by making sure the right materials are in the right place at the right time to support machine operators and production flow.

Shifts Available:

• Shift 16: 3:00pm – 1:00am, Monday – Thursday (+$1.25/hour shift differential)
  

 Starting Rate of Pay:

• $19.25 per hour base rate. Candidates with relevant experience may be eligible for base pay up to $20.25 per hour.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Move raw materials, in-process parts, and finished goods to and from production equipment
• Support press operators by delivering materials and removing completed containers
• Retrieve and transport press tools and assist with positioning when needed
• Use forklift dispatch system (tablet/ERP) to locate and track materials
• Move empty containers and manage container flow throughout the department
• Weigh parts and scrap using scales when required
• Identify and transport scrap materials to correct locations and containers
• Document scrap weights and support compliance requirements
• Support battery changes and basic forklift upkeep as needed

Requirements

• 6+ months of forklift or material handling experience preferred
• Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Comfortable using digital dispatch or tracking systems (tablet-based tools)
• Ability to handle multiple requests and prioritize based on production demands
• Attention to detail when moving, staging, and tracking materials
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification through Clow
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods
• Ability to lift and handle materials up to 100 lbs
• Frequent bending, reaching, material handling, and part movement
• Required PPE: eye protection, hearing protection, MET guard safety shoes
