As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will lead complex, cross-functional programs that power the Relay Central platform and carrier experience. You will partner closely with engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that improve carrier success while upholding Amazon’s high bar for quality, reliability, and customer trust.

You will own roadmap planning, dependency management, execution mechanisms, and delivery for strategic initiatives spanning multiple teams and organizations. This role requires strong technical depth, excellent judgment, and the ability to influence across organizations. You should be a self-starter with a bias for action who can balance long-term vision with operational rigor in highly ambiguous environments.

Successful candidates will have a proven track record of driving large-scale technical programs, simplifying complex problems, and delivering measurable business impact while maintaining high standards in execution.

Key job responsibilities

Lead large-scale technical programs and strategic initiatives across Relay Central and partner organizations

Drive initiatives that improve carrier experience, operational efficiency, platform scalability, and trust

Partner with engineering teams to design simple, scalable, and sustainable solutions to complex business and technical challenges

Establish mechanisms that raise the bar on execution, operational excellence, and delivery quality

Drive roadmap planning, execution tracking, dependency management, and release coordination across multiple teams

Work backwards from carrier and business needs to influence product and technical direction

Identify risks proactively and drive alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Communicate program status, risks, and trade-offs clearly to senior leadership and partner teams

Use data-driven decision making to improve customer outcomes and operational performance

Help build a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and high standards across teams

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline

3+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams

Experience managing large-scale cross-functional technical programs

Experience driving roadmap strategy, execution planning, and release coordination

Experience working with distributed systems and scalable software architectures

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience that will make you successful in this role

Strong technical depth with the ability to engage deeply with engineers and architects

Proven track record of delivering complex technical initiatives in fast-paced environments

Ability to influence across organizations and align diverse stakeholders toward common goals

Experience defining mechanisms and processes that improve execution at scale

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution

Passion for improving customer and carrier experiences through technology and operational excellence

Experience in transportation, logistics, marketplace, or operational technology domains is a plus

Exceptional customer focus and ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
