JOIN US as a Production Supervisor based at our Rock Hill facility and we can offer you an opportunity to work in a high-tech, specialist company working with some of the best global names in aerospace, medical, semiconductor and clean energy. 

This is a second shift position running from 2:00pm to 10:30pm, Monday thru Friday.

Role and responsibilities:

Coordinate production workflow, plan and prioritise operations, to ensure maximum performance.

Determine and ensure resources are available to cover production demand (manpower, equipment, consumables etc).

Assign workers and schedule shifts according to production needs, minimising overtime requirements.

Ensure the team are appropriately trained and supervised to carry out their roles effectively and are developed in line with future requirements.

Prioritise workload to achieve customer lead time requirements (as per KPIs in customer contracts).

Identify to the Production Manager when schedules are at risk of not meeting customer expectations.

Utilise data capture processes to drive Key Performance Indicators.

Implement and drive 5S.

Train all Machine Operators to understand the requirements & benefits of 5S .

Motivate and enable all Machine Operators to actively participate in 5S activities and make improvement suggestions.

Lead by example and ensure company procedures are followed at all times.

Define and deliver continuous improvement activities, by actively working with all areas of the business (e.g. Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality) to improve efficiencies.

Lead employee communication and engagement activity to reinforce a positive and proactive culture.

Maintenance; ensure all DPM activities for Machines and Tooling are completed and records are updated weekly.

Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.

Prepare and submit status and performance reports.

Collaborate with Engineer and Quality resources; developing alternative plans to consider ‘what if’ / contingency scenarios.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, ideally experienced in a precision production environment, working to tight tolerances within the aerospace industry.

Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.

Working knowledge of MS Office and any relevant ERP systems.

U.S. Citizenship or existing Green Card Holder.

High school or GED required, vocational or technical training recommended, Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred.
