Precision CNC Machining Specialist (Lathe & Mill Programming)
Compensation: Starts at $27.00 + (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Overtime: Saturdays, 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM (approx. 56 hours/week)
Employment Type: Contract to Hire 

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled CNC Machining Specialist with programming experience to support the production of industrial-grade components and equipment. This role works closely with shop leadership and plays a key part in delivering high-precision machined parts in a fast-paced environment.

Key Duties

Interpret machining blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications
Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and milling machines
Develop and edit G-code programs across various control systems (Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, Heidenhain – experience with all not required)
Hold tight tolerances up to 0.0005" while maintaining consistent quality
Inspect finished parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges
Ensure parts meet required specifications and quality standards
Follow all safety procedures in a heavy industrial setting
Maintain punctuality, reliability, and a strong professional approach
Handle materials and components weighing up to 50 lbs
Support production needs, including scheduled overtime

Required Qualifications

Hands-on experience with CNC machining and programming
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision work
Familiarity with G-code programming principles
Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
