The Shop Helper / Stock Room Assistant will provide support for daily operations in the store and stockroom. The ideal candidate will assist with receiving, organizing, and distributing stock, as well as helping maintain a clean and safe work environment. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth.
We are looking for someone to:
- Help with daily work in the store and stockroom.
- Receive, organize, and hand out stock.
- Keep the area clean and safe.
- Start in a beginner-level role with chances to grow in the company.
Details:
- This is an in-person, part-time role.
- Location: 13141 N Enon Church Road, Chester, VA 23836
Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety rules and be careful while working.
- Support the company’s safety efforts.
- Report right away if you see anything unsafe or if there is a “near miss” (an event that could have caused an accident but didn’t).
- If an accident happens, even if the injury looks small, tell the EHS Director (Environmental, Health and Safety Director) right away.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma, GED, or Applied Studies Diploma.
- Experience in a warehouse, retail, or stockroom is helpful, but not required.
- Able to read and do basic math.
- Good communication skills and works well with a team.
- Reliable, on time, and pays attention to details.
- This job may involve lifting items (up to 50 lbs) and standing for long periods.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
