As the Sr. Manager, Product Compliance you are the in-house owner of product compliance and vendor compliance across the Knix portfolio. Your mission is to ensure that every product we bring to market meets regulatory, chemical, and third-party certification standards while maintaining strong, accountable relationships with our manufacturing partners. You will work hand-in-hand with the Product, Operations, and Legal teams to protect the integrity of our leakproof technology and drive forward key certifications and industry memberships.

About You:

  • Product Compliance Expert: You have deep knowledge of ingredients disclosure requirements and chemical compliance for consumer apparel, and you bring a hands-on approach to reviewing tech packs, material specifications, and supplier documentation.

  • Vendor Partner: You are a natural relationship builder who can manage manufacturing partners with professionalism and accountability, from negotiating agreements to driving compliance with annual obligations.

  • Industry Connector: You are passionate about representing Knix in industry bodies like AAFA and AFIRM, staying ahead of evolving standards and bringing that knowledge back to the team.

  • Detail-Oriented Operator: You thrive in day-to-day execution, whether it’s maintaining a Quality Agreement, training vendors on compliance expectations, or guiding the Operations team on trade compliance matters.

  • The Opportunity:

  • Ingredients Transparency: You will collaborate closely with the Knix Product team to review tech packs and product specifications, ensuring all ingredients are safe chemistries and are accurately disclosed in accordance with applicable regulations.

  • Chemical Compliance: You will own chemical compliance across the Knix product line, leveraging deep familiarity with the chemicals used in our leakproof technology to guide supplier selection and material specifications alongside the Product team.

  • Vendor Relations: You will manage the day-to-day vendor compliance program, including supporting Legal on manufacturing agreements, maintaining the Quality Agreement, training vendors on Knix standards, and obtaining annual compliance attestations.

  • Supplier Nomination: You will lead the selection and nomination of best in class chemical suppliers for dyes, topical applications, and performance functions in collaboration with the product team.

  • Trade Compliance Advisory: You will serve as the in-house apparel-specific trade compliance resource.

  • Regulatory Affairs: You will collaborate with Essity (parent company) Regulatory Affairs as required including managing vendor FDA registration and compliance as well as other regulatory tasks.

  • Third-Party Certifications: You will drive the successful finished-product third party certification of the Knix leakproof portfolio, coordinating testing, documentation, and remediation efforts.

  • AAFA / AFIRM Representation: You will represent Knix within the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) and the Apparel and Footwear International RSL Management (AFIRM) group, ensuring Knix has a voice in industry-wide compliance and restricted substances initiatives.

  • Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in product compliance, vendor quality, or regulatory affairs within the apparel, textiles, or consumer goods industry.

  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of chemical compliance frameworks, Oeko-Tex certification processes, and trade/customs compliance for apparel imports.

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional cross-functional communication and the ability to partner effectively with Product, Operations, and Legal teams as well as external manufacturing partners.

  • Problem Solving: A proactive, detail-oriented approach to identifying compliance gaps and driving them to resolution across a global supply chain.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with AAFA, AFIRM, or similar industry bodies and their role in shaping compliance standards for apparel and footwear.
