Slate is a commercial cleaning company leveraging technology and rigorous quality-control processes to deliver exceptional cleaning services for business clients nationwide, with a focus on boutique fitness studios.We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Overnight Studio Cleaner & Lead to join a two-person team responsible for deep cleaning fitness studio spaces in Arlington, VA. This role is crucial to maintaining the high standards our clients expect and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for studio members.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deep cleaning fitness studio spaces overnight, including equipment, floors, mirrors, restrooms, lobby, and retail areas
- Taking before and after photos at each location to document cleaning results
- Following a detailed bilingual cleaning checklist to ensure consistent quality
- Clocking in and out via a mobile app at each studio stop
- For Lead: Managing inventory of cleaning supplies and placing restocking orders
- For Lead: Overseeing cleaner attendance and coordinating same-night replacement coverage as needed
This role operates on a set overnight schedule (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday) across two Arlington studio locations, requiring independent work and strong organizational skills.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency using a smartphone to clock in/out via a mobile app and take before/after photos
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs
- Able to stand, bend, and perform repetitive cleaning motions throughout overnight shifts
- English proficiency sufficient to follow instructions and complete checklists
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable personal vehicle to drive between Ballston and Court House locations (no mileage reimbursement)
- Available to work overnight shifts on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday with start times around 11:00 PM and 12:15 AM
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior commercial or janitorial cleaning experience
- Prior lead or supervisory experience managing attendance, coordinating coverage, or handling supplies/logistics
- Experience following detailed cleaning checklists or standard operating procedures
- Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency
Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay: $19/hr for Cleaner, $21/hr for Lead
- Performance bonuses for high ratings ($20 per 4–5 star rating), streak bonuses at 10/25/50/100 shifts ($25/$50/$100/$200), and solo coverage bonuses
