Quality Supervisor chez Red Sky Lighting

Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to oversee and manage the quality control processes in our manufacturing operations for explosion-proof lighting products. This role is responsible for supervising quality inspectors, ensuring products meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement in quality performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the Quality Inspection team, including incoming, in-process, and final inspections.

• Ensure all products meet company quality standards as well as relevant industry regulations and certifications (e.g., UL, ATEX, IECEx if applicable).

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and inspection standards.

• Investigate quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality problems and improve processes.

• Monitor and report key quality metrics such as defect rates, scrap, and rework.

• Conduct internal quality audits and support external audits or customer inspections.

• Train and guide quality inspectors and production staff on quality standards and inspection methods.

• Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained according to company procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.

Compensation

$26-$32/hr

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field preferred.

• 3–5+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.

• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

• Experience in lighting, electrical equipment, or explosion-proof products is a plus.

• Familiar with quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, SPC, FMEA.

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with regulatory certifications such as UL, ATEX, IECEx.

• Experience in supplier quality management.

Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $26-$32 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
