The Opportunity:

JMAC Lending is expanding operations and is seeking a Funding Assistant to work onsite in our office in Costa Mesa, CA. Under supervision, this individual performs clerical and administrative functions related to the processing and funding of mortgage loans. This is a Full-Time/Fully On-Site opportunity with working hours from 8:00am-5:00pm PT Monday-Friday offering competitive pay ranging from $21.62-$25.38 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Channel the executed loan documents to the funder
  • Organize and compile signed loan documents for a thorough funding review
  • Double-check and prepare the funding figures and wire transfer for loan proceeds
  • Assemble a complete closed loan package for delivery to our investor
  • Put together collateral packages for shipment to warehouse banks
  • Engage in communication and provide updates to all relevant parties involved in the loan transaction (including brokers, loan officers, processors, escrow officers, Account Managers, and Account Executives) to ensure a seamless loan closing experience
  • Carry out other related tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is essential
  • Previous mortgage knowledge is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, delivered with courtesy and effectiveness
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized to ensure efficient task completion
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Encompass is highly valued
  • Exceptional teamwork and interpersonal skills, paired with a positive attitude
