Overview
Heritage Home Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver to provide in-home support for a client in the 88001 area of Las Cruces. This role involves assisting a client with daily living activities in their home while promoting safety, independence, and dignity.
The client is blind and wheelchair-bound and requires assistance with mobility, personal care, and household tasks.
Schedule
The client has been approved for approximately 52 hours per week and is requesting a split shift schedule, including weekends:
Morning shift: approximately 3.5 hours
Evening shift: approximately 3.5 hours
7 days per week
This case may be staffed by one full-time caregiver with additional part-time support depending on availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
- Provide mobility assistance and transfers (bed, chair, wheelchair)
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment with light housekeeping
- Assist with errands, scheduling, and appointments
- Monitor and report changes in client condition to the clinical team
What We’re Looking For
- Compassionate, organized, and dependable caregiver
- Ability to assist with transfers and mobility support
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Must have reliable transportation
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous caregiving experience preferred
- Ability to follow delegation instructions accurately
