Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) — a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York — seeks an enthusiastic, dedicated, and mission-aligned Senior Salesforce Analyst for the Research and Evaluation Department.

Harlem Children's Zone seeks a Senior Salesforce Analyst to join our Data Science team within the Research and Evaluation Department, reporting to the Director of Data Science. As a crucial team member, you will play a key role in shaping our Salesforce strategy, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the long-term success of our Salesforce instance. Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a combination of relevant education and equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Salesforce administration and development, with experience creating and implementing Salesforce data strategy, preferably at a non-profit organization.
- Salesforce Apex Certification
Who You Are
- Deep experience with Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) (required), Education Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Analytics Cloud, and Tableau CRM/Einstein Analytics.
- Expert-level knowledge of current Salesforce features, roadmap, and emerging technologies.
- Advanced proficiency in creating complex flows, process automation, and workflow optimization; strong knowledge of Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Platform development.
- Experience with Salesforce implementation; familiarity with data modeling and object-oriented design.
- Proven track record in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation with a focus on actionable insights.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, and a collaborative mindset.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align technology solutions with organizational objectives and long-term vision.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and communicate a strategic vision for HCZ’s Salesforce architecture.
- Design and implement scalable and efficient solutions to address business needs, aligning with industry best practices and HCZ’s mission, values, and goals, in collaboration with the Salesforce Administrator and internal/external stakeholders. Solutions should be oriented towards increasing automation, easing data entry, improving data quality, and reducing data storage.
- Utilize expertise in Salesforce administration, Apex, flows, and database management to implement and customize Salesforce solutions.
- Manage and lead complex projects related to Salesforce, from planning and execution to monitoring and closure.
- Collaborate with department heads and cross-functional teams to identify project requirements, scope, and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies, including adherence to industry best practices, in collaboration with the Salesforce Administrator.
- Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with third-party vendors and integration tools in collaboration with the Director of Data Science and support their integration into the Salesforce environment.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to Salesforce Administrator and junior team members.
- Develop training materials and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.
- Stay current with Salesforce releases and industry best practices, sharing insights with the broader organization.
- Support day-to-day Salesforce administration tasks as needed, ensuring seamless operations.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
- Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)
- This is an exempt, full-time position under applicable wage and hourly laws
