The E-Commerce & Inside Sales Associate position will be a key contributor within multiple areas of a small technical-based, rapidly growing company. This position will work directly with public health and academia sales representatives to support pre-existing research projects through restock orders, online purchases, and software updates/renewals.  

 The candidate must possess strong interpersonal communication skills and a strong work ethic. The individual must be flexible, and have the ability to multitask. This position will also likely be required to work with customer support personnel to resolve customers’ advanced product related issues.

Requirements

The essential duties and responsibilities for this role include:

  • Direct contact with customers by phone and email.  
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and payment terms surrounding online orders, and restocks.  
  • Achieve quarterly and yearly sales targets via upsell opportunities.  
  • Negotiate prices and terms of sales or service agreements.  
  • Develop a high level of technical product knowledge via a training program for future development.  
  • Ability to communicate effectively with research and clinical trial customer base/teams.  
  • Assist the Marketing Department with improving and managing the companies online store.  
  • Any and all other duties necessary for the position. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications and work experience for this role are:

  • BS Degree in Sports Science, Kinesiology, Epidemiology, Public Health, Sports Medicine, Business Administration, Finance, Management preferred 
  • 1-2 years experience in sales and/or customer service  
  • Knowledgeable in Windows and Microsoft Office  
  • Experience in SalesForce and/or Desk.com is a plus 
  • Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms is a plus
