Description
PURVIS Systems is a technology solutions partner that develops, implements and maintains mission-critical solutions for federal and local governments.
We have an immediate opening for a Lead Logistician to be the task lead to support the property management team at our government client location.
The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:
- Review property management processes and operations against Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) regulations and provide recommendations for edits or improvements.
- Customer interface for all phases of property management implementation and execution, to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Coordinates tasking of defense contractor property team staff, sets short-term priorities, and prepares completion schedules for property-related projects.
- Maintains accurate records for all government-furnished and defense contractor-acquired property in official Navy databases.
- Execute daily material shipments, transfers and inductions.
- Assists with client's annual physical inventory requirements, including coordination with auditors regarding property reviews and assessments.
- Ensures proper disposition of material and resolves any procurement and property related issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred, along with 5-7 years of professional work experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing a logistics team.
- A highly motivated self-starter with strong leadership presence and the ability to direct on-site personnel and to hold teams accountable.
- Expertise in the full lifecycle of government property, from acquisition to disposition.
- Experience with PIEE (Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment), including the GFP (Government Furnished Property) module and the creation of attachments.
- Working knowledge of Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Base Inventory Tracking System (BITS) and Material Management Tracking System (MMTS).
- Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent written and verbal skills.
Additional Information
Candidate must be able to obtain a government security clearance to the level of SECRET.
