The Legal Assistant reports to the Contracts Manager and plays a key role in reviewing, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts. This position is ideal for a paralegal or legal assistant who enjoys contract review, risk analysis, compliance, and working cross-functionally with business teams.

This role supports the full contract lifecycle, from intake and negotiation through execution and renewal, while ensuring alignment with company policy, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Review, redline, and negotiate staffing services agreements
  • Analyze contract terms to identify legal and business risk
  • Draft summaries of key terms for Sales, Operations, and Finance partners
  • Resolve contract language conflicts and support negotiations
  • Maintain contract templates and standardized legal language
  • Track contract status and provide updates to sales leadership
  • Manage contract records and documentation in a contract management system
  • Support license, registration, and compliance filings across multiple states
  • Coordinate Certificates of Insurance with insurance brokers
  • Monitor renewal deadlines for contracts, licenses, and registrations
  • Serve as internal resource for contract policy questions
  • Support continuous improvement of contract processes and documentation standards
  • Manage all workload activities within a ticketing system and generate reports on metrics for completion and work in progress

Required Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
  • 1+ year experience reviewing or supporting contracts (law firm or in-house experience welcome)
  • Experience redlining and negotiating agreements preferred
  • Strong legal reading comprehension and analytical skills
  • Ability to assess risk and apply sound judgment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and deadline management
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with business stakeholders
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management systems (IntelAgree a plus)
  • Experience with Bullhorn a plus

  • In-office and on-site in Omaha, Nebraska
