In pursuit of this mission, we are looking to hire a Data and Assessment Technician. The Data and Assessment Technician will collect, update, analyze, and manage data for various special populations programs. This data will target the areas of assessment, attendance and academics. Various formats and reporting platforms will be utilized to assist with program and student needs. Technician will collaborate with other department staff in proctoring WIDA assessments district wide.
Qualifications
Associate Degree
Experience working with Special Populations programming
Outstanding communication skills needed to effectively address information and data requests from internal staff and external school districts/educational institutions
Demonstrated knowledge in accurate data entry, data analysis and research methods
Ability to apply and utilize techniques including organizational planning, time management, attention to detail and accuracy and general reporting practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office365, etc)
Preferred experience with and knowledge of OEAA Secure Site, DRC Insight/WIDA AMS Portal, Synergy, Ellevation and New Visions Portal
Familiarity with WIDA ACCESS, WIDA Screener and KG Model
Job Responsibilities
Connect with various school districts and educational institutions to assist with identifying background educational and academic information for enrolled Multilingual Learner students
Support district wide attendance initiative by pulling routine attendance data reports, collaborate with schools, programs and departments and follow up with appropriate staff
Monitor data to support attendance and graduation rates of students in Special Population programs
Assist Bilingual and Pupil Accounting Departments with accuracy of district level student reporting
Gather and record data related to the specific needs and characteristics of various special populations, such as demographic information, assessment scores, and other relevant data points.
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement within special populations. Use statistical and data analysis tools to generate reports and draw meaningful insights from the data
Collaborate with department staff and professionals to coordinate the assessment and evaluation processes for individuals within special populations. This may involve scheduling assessments, ensuring proper accommodations, and managing assessment data
Prepare comprehensive reports and summaries of assessment results and trends within special populations. These reports may be used for program evaluation, decision-making, and reporting to stakeholders
Maintain accurate and organized records of data related to special populations while ensuring data security and confidentiality
Facilitate effective communication between various stakeholders, including department staff, educators, administrators, and external agencies or organizations that serve special populations
Stay up to date on best practices in data collection and assessment within the context of special populations and participate in relevant training and professional development to ensure a current understanding of the field
Participate in the evaluation of programs and services for special populations to assess their effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
