James A. Wheat & Sons, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Permits and Rebates Coordinator to join our team. This role involves managing the application process for permits and rebates related to HVAC installations and plumbing projects. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a thorough understanding of permitting processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with various regulatory agencies and customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and success of our operations while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit permit applications for HVAC and plumbing projects, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Track and manage rebate applications for customers, ensuring timely submission and communication of outcomes.
  • Maintain knowledge of local and state regulations regarding permits and rebates.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and local jurisdictions to expedite permit approvals.
  • Respond to inquiries from customers regarding permits and rebates, providing guidance and support.
  • Keep detailed records of permits, rebates, and related documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Assist in training staff on permit and rebate processes as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business or project management is a plus.
  • Previous experience in permits, rebates, or a related administrative role preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing regulations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications.
  • Attention to detail and a problem-solving attitude.
