Weekend Direct Support Professional Joplin, MO

Schedule: Saturday 10 am to 8 pm Sunday 8 am to 9 pm

Phoenix Home Care and Hospice is seeking a skilled and compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide one on one care for a valued member of the Joplin community. Prior experience working with clients who have Down syndrome is strongly preferred. This position is ideal for someone who is patient, a strong listener, and committed to helping others make healthier choices in meals and daily living. You will play a vital role in supporting independence, encouraging positive routines, and improving overall quality of life.

What You Will Do

· Provide one on one support in the client’s home

· Assist with meal planning and preparation, focusing on healthier choices

· Help with personal care and daily living tasks

· Offer companionship and emotional support

· Support household tasks and light chores

· Accompany the client to appointments and community activities

Requirements

· At least 18 years old

· High School Diploma or GED

· 1 year prior experience

· Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

· Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

· Current First Aid and CPR certification
