Description
As a Software Development Engineer II on this team, you will design, implement, and operate AI-native platform capabilities that enable intelligent systems to interact with large-scale Amazon Payment services. You will contribute to building AI-ready APIs and abstractions on top of existing production systems, enabling new customer-facing use cases while maintaining high standards for security, correctness, and operational excellence.
In this role, you will own well-defined components end-to-end from design and implementation through deployment and on-call support while collaborating with senior engineers and partner teams across Amazon. You are expected to deliver high-quality software, participate in design and code reviews, and continuously raise the engineering bar in a fast-paced, high-scale environment.
Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
• Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
• Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
• Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
Basic Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience

Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
