Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations by conducting vital sign checks and collecting detailed medical histories.
  • Assist physicians during clinical examinations and procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are available.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and manage the processing of clinical specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and facilitate effective communication within the practice.
  • Educate patients on their treatment plans, medication, and effective skincare regimens.
  • Ensure that examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, especially in dermatology.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software is a plus.
